We use comparatives to compare two things. For short adjectives (one syllable), we add -er: fast → faster, big → bigger, cheap → cheaper.

For longer adjectives (two or more syllables), we use more: more expensive, more productive, more flexible.

Some adjectives are irregular: good → better, bad → worse, far → further.

We use than after the comparative: Working from home is cheaper than going to the office. She is more productive in the morning than in the afternoon.

We use the + superlative for the most extreme: This is the most expensive laptop. He is the best manager in the company. It was the worst meeting ever!
