Opinions and Feelings
In a team meeting, the manager asks: 'What do you think about our new flexible working policy?' Ana says: 'I think it is a great idea. I feel much more productive when I can work from home two days a week.' Pedro disagrees: 'I am not sure. In my opinion, it is harder to collaborate when people are not in the office.' Tom agrees with Ana: 'I agree with Ana. I also prefer working from home sometimes. But I think we need good communication tools.' The manager says: 'These are all interesting points. I believe we can make it work with the right systems in place.'
๐ก Did you know? Psychologists say that people who express their opinions clearly but respectfully are perceived as more trustworthy and competent. Having and communicating a clear point of view is a genuine professional skill.
