Getting Around
Ana is new to Madrid. She asks her colleague: 'How do I get to the office from the metro station?' Her colleague explains: 'It is easy. Leave the metro station and turn left. Go straight on for about two hundred metres. You will see a big supermarket on the right. Turn right there. The office is the third building on the left. It is next to a coffee shop.' Ana follows the directions. She finds the office in five minutes. 'That was easy!' she says.
💡 Did you know? The Madrid Metro is one of the largest metro systems in Europe, with over 300 kilometres of track. It carries more than 600 million passengers every year.
