In English, we use numbers every day. We say prices, phone numbers, ages, and dates. It is important to say numbers correctly.

The numbers 13 and 30 are easy to confuse. Thirteen (13) has the stress at the end: thir-TEEN. Thirty (30) has the stress at the start: THIR-ty.

Dates in English can be confusing. In the UK, we write the day first: 25/12/2024 = the 25th of December. In the USA, they write the month first: 12/25/2024.

We say dates like this: the first of January, the second of March, the twenty-fifth of December. The months are: January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December.
